The Punta Tombo Protected Natural Area covers 210 hectares of Patagonian steppe, where one of its main conservation objectives is the protection of one of the largest continental colonies of Magellanic penguins.

Itinerary
*Departure from the port – Our team will meet you at the Puerto Madryn cruise terminal to begin this unforgettable adventure.
*Geology and history of the region – During the journey, our expert guide will share knowledge about the geological formation of the area and the history of its first settlers.
*Punta Tombo Nature Reserve – We will explore the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins, where thousands of these friendly birds nest and breed each year.
*Interpretive Trail – We will walk along trails that will allow us to share and learn about the penguins' habitat, observing them up close as they care for their young or move toward the sea.
*Interpretive Center – We will visit this interactive space to learn more about the biology, life cycle, and conservation of Magellanic penguins.
*Lunch Option (optional) – Free time for lunch (approximately USD 20.00 per person).
*Return to Puerto Madryn – Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore the city center, shop, or connect to the internet before returning to your cruise ship.

IMPORTANT
*Pickup will be at the port entrance (once you disembark and arrive at the entrance, we will be waiting there with a sign with your first and last name).
*Please note that it's approximately an 8-block walk from the cruise ship docking to the port exit, and there's a free shuttle bus service that runs frequently to and from the port.
*Upon returning from the excursion, we'll drop you off at the port entrance, subject to cruise ship arrival and departure times.
